Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you take off from or land in the water?

No, you take off and land directly on the boat! After we fit you with a special parasail harness, you are seated next to your partner(s) on the flight deck and then gently launched and retrieved using a hydraulic winch system.

Do I need to have any experience to parasail?

Absolutely not! This is a participant sport.

Are there any age or weight restrictions?

Minimum age is 6. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver. Minimum combined weight is 90 lbs and maximum combined weight about 450 lbs. Weight requirements change daily due to wind conditions and are subject to Captain’s approval.

Can I parasail if I am pregnant?

For safety reasons we do not allow pregnant women participate in parasailing or the act of observing. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Can two or three people go at the same time?

Yes! Some restrictions apply depending on weight and wind conditions;  ultimately it’s the Captain’s decision.

Do I ever touch the water?

It’s up to you! Just let the Captain know if you want to stay dry or get your feet wet.

Is parasailing scary?

Actually it’s quite the opposite. Parasailing is very serene and peaceful. Take off’s and landings are very slow and gentle making you feel as if you are truly ‘floating on air’.

Where do we go parasailing?

After cruising out of Destin Harbor, your Captain will head South through Destin Pass and into the Gulf of Mexico. If sea conditions are too rough in the Gulf your Captain will head North into the calm waters of Choctawhatchee Bay.

What can I expect to see parasailing?

In addition to awesome panoramic views of the Destin beaches and Emerald coast, on occasion you will see dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, fishermen, tour boats, sunburnt tourists, and lots of colorful beach umbrellas!

Can we fly higher than your 800 foot ride?

No, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) limits parasails to fly no higher than 500 vertical feet from the surface of the earth (CFR 101.13). 400 feet up is about how high you will get on an 800 ft towline.

What should I wear?

Bathing suits if you want to get wet, otherwise shorts, T’s, and flip-flops.  Honestly we can fly you in a dress or tuxedo- remember you don’t have to get wet!

Can I go along just to watch?

Yes! When you call to make a reservation for parasailing please let us know the number of people who want to go along to watch. Observers can ride for $45 each and must be reserved when making a reservation.

How long are the rides and how much does it cost?

The entire boating adventure takes around 1.5 hours with flights lasting around 10 minutes. Each parasail boat holds 12-15 passengers who take turns flying two or three at a time. Please see RATES & INFO page.

Is your company specially trained, experienced and or licensed?

Yes! Our Captains are US Coast Guard licensed Masters, and both Captain and crew are specifically trained in all aspects of parasailing, boat handling and flight procedures, with 20 years experience and over 100,000 flights. We are also current members of WSIA (Water Sports Industry Association) which require our operation to adhere to strict operating guidelines to protect the safety of our customers.

Are reservations required?

Yes! We have several daily departure times throughout the day to choose from. All you need to make a reservation is a major credit card. Call: (850) 344-1823 or Click Here to Make Online Reservations.

How far in advance should I make a reservation?
We recommend at least 2-3 days in advance during peak season (June – August). For large groups of 15 or more please call 4-5 days in advance. If you are unsure of your vacation schedule at least try to make a reservation early in the morning before all the boats fill up for the day!

When is the best time to go parasailing?

Early Morning! We all like to sleep in while on vacation but you just can’t beat morning flights. Temperatures are in the mid 70’s, the Gulf of Mexico is calm, winds are light, and boat traffic is at a minimum. By going early you also avoid any chance of afternoon showers we commonly get in the summer.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to change, reschedule, or cancel your reservation please call us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled trip time so we can accommodate others wanting to parasail. If you don’t call or don’t make your reservation time tickets will not be rescheduled or refunded.

We love what we do and we love to make our customers happy.

See what our customers are saying…

Ike and Brad were very good. They played good music the whole time and Ike had a really good sense of humor. This was only place in Destin to allow my 3 yr old on the boat. The owner and his son were very welcoming and made sure we enjoyed our experience. We would highly recommend them and hopefully we will be able to come back and do this again. If we could rate them higher than 5 stars we would. –Shane Porreca
We had SO much fun! Even my 60-year-old mom did it! Ike and Jerad were such pros and we felt like we were in good hands from the second we got on the boat. We got to stay up quite a while and the boat ride was almost as much fun as the parasailing itself. If you’re in the panhandle and looking for something fun to do, go check these guys out.  –Josie Richardson
Our girls had an amazing time! Brad, with a silent “B” and his first mate Jeremy, aka “Dude”, had the perfect mix of professionalism and humor. They made our girls’ first parasailing experience one they’ll never forget…best dunk ever! 5-stars for safety. –Ryan Vander Veen
It’s was awesome! Ike and Jared were great and made us feel safe and comfortable. Definitely coming back and bringing all my fam!
